Until Further Notice
A series of images documenting Inverness on lockdown from Covid-19.
Whilst taking my daily exercise, and living close to the city centre, I walked the streets of the Highland capital.
The first night after the bars and restaurants closed, the impact of Coronavirus was immediate. What would have been another Saturday night with busy pubs and crowds moving about had been replaced by empty streets and the hum from buildings and the buzz of electric lighting.
Over the next few weeks some businesses boarded their windows and discarded blue gloves stood out against the grey as people adapted to an evolving narrative.
Over time the closed shops and deserted streets became normal; nuances became less apparent, except for a change in the season bringing less hours of darkness.
